In 2012, CPI held fast to the theme of scientific development and the centerline of accelerating the transformation of development model, led the whole company to actively cope with complicated and arduous situations, implemented overall requirements for our work, made the best efforts to maintain stable economic benefits, sped up structural adjustment, deepened institutional and systematic reform, intensified the improvement of our team, and succeeded in accomplishing all tasks. CPI has arrived at a favorable position featuring faster growth, increased profit, deepened reform and overall harmony and stability.
At the end of 2012, CPI had installed capacity of more than 80GW, coal production capacity of 74.1 million tons and aluminum production capacity of 2.77 million tons. We achieved operating revenues of RMB179.4 billion, total profits of RMB 5.328 billion and EVA of RMB 1.44 billion, all marking the highest level in CPI’s history. Total net profit and net profit that is attributed to the mother company was significantly increased, and debt-to-asset ratio was well controlled to drop by 1.23 percentage points. All indicators met the performance target stipulated by SASAC (State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission).

In 2013, CPI will follow the spirit of the 18th CPC National Congress and implement the conclusions drawn on the central economic work meeting and the meeting of top managers of state-owned enterprises. We will focus on our work priorities, unswervingly press ahead with the Three-step Strategy, accelerate the transformation of development model and promote structural adjustment, and focus on enhancing the quality and performance of economic growth. We will deepen reform, improve management, prioritize technological innovation, energy conservation and emission reduction, enrich our corporate culture and keep consolidating our core competence, so as to make new and greater contributions to building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
